I obviously wasn't as concise as I could have been, but what I was trying to get at is the site might be more successful if it was a hiphop + battle rap site rather than just a battle rap site ( so in other words, bringing back more topicals *cough unbanning EtH*, more concept battles, more crew battles, more interaction in general...)

The beefing should happen mostly on the microphone and the trolling should support the beefing.... as oppose to the way it is now... trolling off the mic to create beef that never becomes a battle.

So, I had a few suggestions, but I'm not sure you read my full post... its all good.

I agree with @Babylon ... I only come back to tip my hat to an old hobby on a site I used to enjoy much more than I do currently.... I can only speculate as to how others feel.

We need some new mods, newer faces. New fvc, that know how to judge audio battles. Less VP to mods and fvc, lots of people being robbed in some battles. That or nobody from fvc votes on a battle unless its a tournament. We need a reward system for people who can recruit new rappers ( emcee item, or a month exclusive). All in all, we need more active voters, active fvc for audio and text, with less VP..

So, you're trying to say that we need more active voters (Which everyone agrees with) However, you're saying that those who have proven themselves good voters (FVC) should have a lower VP. So instead of rewarding good voters and also providing a good incentive for good voters...we should instead drop their VP? Which in turn...will have less FVC members coming around...which will drop voting activity. That's ass backwards. Honestly, we don't just need more voters. We need more people dropping votes who come here regularly. You've got people bitching about having no votes on their battles, and yet they don't ever seem to vote.

When I just explained that we need more / better fvc, and more/better voting mods.don't drop it completely, but say I have 4 fair votes on a battle, with good explanations, 1 mod can come in, drop a vote with a half assed expo. And give the opponent who originally had 0 votes the win. Ive seen it happen, and its happened to me. When a mods vote can be stronger than 4 regular members vote, there is a problem. Mods and fvc rarely vote on audio battles outside of tournaments. So if you're wondering why the audio section is dead, its because of the mods being in favor of text battles., you included..

& those who have proven themselves to be good voters, should not overpower 3-4 other voters, people have different ways of judging battles. Personally I listen for the verse that would get better crowd reaction if it was a live event in today's standard of battle rap. I understand where you're coming from, for the most part. I know I don't speak for all when I say this...but, When you're an FVC member and have proven yourself to be an educated and skilled voter...Why would you have the same Voting Power as the guy who barely explains his vote and doesn't try to. FVC member have an increased voting power for a reason, They're some of the best and most educated voters on the site who take time to answer requests.

Also, the problem w/ the audio side (In terms of voting) is that the majority of audio guys are the majority of bad voters. (FV, VB etc) or they barely drop an expo. So many audio guys w/ 0 voting power because they 1. Don't care enough to drop an expo 2. Don't care that they have 0vp 3. Just want the credit/ are uneducated voters. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that everyone is, but the majority are.

A lack of mod voting isn't the reason why the audio side is dead more than usual. It's that no one is putting out their best material. The majority of the battles are half-assed freestyle battles.There aren't as many big names battling each other on the audio side (Other than tournaments) I agree though, I need to start really dropping more votes on the audio side (Same w/ some mods) However, I get lots of requests from people to drop votes on battles...95% of the time it's a text battle. As humans we grow older an move on its natural. So with that in mind the lack of a real attempt to bring new members in to the fold is what has made LB so stagnant.

There is noone left to pickup the torch an I think that comes from a lack of advertising an getting the site name out in general.
