Are the days of dope mc'in really gone?
So these days all i see the kids listing to is mumble rap an shit like that? Rap battle actually has some skill full shit to it, like it can sound lyrically dope and it seems rap battle still has that kinda underground, skill full, lyrically dope aspect to some extent but if ain't no one making dope mc style hip hop then eventually battle rap may turn into these mumble rap shit? prob not... but yeah, like is there any new rappers coming on the scene who make the kinda underground shit still? i know they would be underground an not mainstream nah mean but in compared to the mumble rap kinda stuff, maybe not as many.
Im not hating on mumble rap its just another aspect of hip hop, theres many aspects and which aspect u want to be good at is up to you and how you gonna master your craft.
Im just asking is the days of dope mc'n really gone? people don't give a fuck about dope lyrics to much no more, well some people do but you know what im saying, mostly only other dope mc rappers like it. Ez.
LIL PUMP = Mumble rap
Kendrick Lamar = Lyrical
A-F-R-O = Underground/Dope Mc type

Two mumble rappers have a battle and instead of rap battle being the way it is today, they are having really shitty battles but every one thinks its dope, like they would rhyme the same words together and just not ever clever with the bars... i think u get the idea of what a rap battle would be like if two mumble rappers vs'ed each other.

It will continue to progress into mumble rap territory, then at some point in the future, some "retro" artist or artists will make lyricism cool again.

Mumble rap is just what's popular at the moment, in the span of hip-hop nobody is going to remember mumble artists over 2Pac, Nas, K. Dot, J Cole, Lupe, etc.
