hrmm pretty intense.. i dont think guns should be used if one of the parties involved is unarmed.. the kid was 17 and i believe zimmerman is 28... looks like a big enough boy to hold his own.. http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/...und-and-beaten .. dude should do some time for murder

yea if you read into the details he was advised by the 911 operator to not follow the the suspected suspicious person ( Trayvon) but he still did, as far as 1st degree murder thats a tough case there are witnesses saying trayvon attacked Zimmerman 1st. and he also has the bruise to prove that. But i beleive no one should of lost there life. tough call but def believe some type of penalty is needed.

I dunno if this dude racist or just an idiot, but the fact there has been no indictment proves that Florida prosecutors are definately racist and don't give a fuck bout this case. This should atleast lead to some sort of reform of the 9-11 system.

Zimmerman will get off due the fact that florida makes the prosecution fulfill the burden of proof in overturning a self defense case. Fucking bullshit, the man was an idiot and even if Martin did attack first, it was..you know, because he was being followed.

Judging from the article I wouldn't call it racially motivated. This was a gated community, the kid was (according Zimmerman's account, nobody else has come forward to say otherwise) was acting in a suspicious manner, Zimmerman was NHW, making it his job to be on the look out for such things to protect his community.

Now judging from that article the police didn't tell him "Don't follow him" they told him "you don't need to do that" they imply 2 different things. 1's an order, the other a suggestion.

So being NHW he did nothing wrong, he was doing his job.

He then goes back to his car only to find that the kid has followed him, the kid asks him what his problem is, Zimmerman say's "I don't have 1" then the kid say's "Well YOU DO NOW", punches him to the ground, JUMPS ON TOP OF HIM and carries on beating him?

I mean you can say Zimmerman is a big boy and went too far pulling out a gun, but he's on the deck bleeding at this point and how far is too far? Didn't the kid go TOO FAR by punching and decking him, where do you really draw the line?

The kid already had Zimmerman on his back and could easily have put him in a coma and even killed him if Zimmerman didn't shoot him.

All in all as sad and as fucked up as the whole thing is I call none racially motivated and self defence.

Several people, have come out disputing Zimmermans account, some of the stuff stated in the article is simply untrue.

Based upon Zimmermans original testimony, and other witness testimony it seems more plausible that Zimmerman approached Martin and an altercation ensured afterwards, without the story as stated.

Lastly, the Orlando Sentinel is absolute crap. It's a partisan rag posing as "news". Every editorial or news story I've ever read out of that shithole has been regurgitation of right wing talking points.

Hopefully justice will prevail, once they go in front of a grand jury at that point the truth of what actually happened will come out. As far as the Black Panthers placing a $10,000 bounty on the head of Zimmerman to bring him to justice, They need to allow the justice system to do there job.

I don't know the case well but a few things.. Many of the DA's in America and police are crooked as hell and work together to feed lies to the media as to get public opinion in the direction thats most beneficial for them. so there's no telling of the actual circumstances just the ones pushed forward by the state. Another thing in most of the states if you're gun Is not visible by 3 differnt views at the same time then u are illegally carrying a firearm regardless if it's urs or not n if u have a ccw (carry concealed weapon permit) u still have to let it be known before hand that u have a gun. So it might not matter who swung first.. They both followed ejother around, both thought the other we're up to no good, and then an altercation took place. One had a gun other didn't. If it was not known at the time of the altercation that the suspect had a gun the suspect should be facing manslauter at least because the victim never knew what he was getting into at that point. If it was racially motivated you wouldnt know with out checking into the suspects history but it doesnt change the charge it only adds an enhancement to the charge he is faced with.
