what if you did this. what if you took that 40-60k, rented out a studio apartment, sound proofed the walk in closet, got some production software and a mic, hired local producers to help you set up the joint. Then hire those same producers to work for you and bring in local artists to record. You split the money with the producer for rented studio time money that you get and sit in on all the sessions then slowly learn the craft... then start doing it all on your own.
