Ranking system doesn't mean shit. Just a means for most of the shitty heads to rack up easy battles, so they can feel good about their writing and attempt to gloat. If anyone is relevant on the site, they know who is good and/or has potential and who doesn't.

In any case, from what I have noticed, there isn't enough activity to do a suggested ranking system like the tiers. How would you even place people, top tier like 5 ppl, mid 10-15, and the rest low. There is what, maybe 1 to 2 dope battles a month that isn't an event or tournament (just normal battles). It's a pointless thing to redo, no one even pays attention to it until it gets brought up in a thread like this.

because we/some of us believe, the ranking system is a reason why new members don't stay on the site. they see bnas ranked #1 and say "this site is garbage, i'm out". Yeah u are right, anyone relevant knows that the ranking system is shit, but new people are new people and not relevant.

It's not like we are getting any rewards for the ranking system either. The better suggestion, in my eyes anyways, do away with the ranking system and just have records on the profiles and keep the monthly rankings. The all time rankings are used for nothing, it doesn't get you awards or into tournaments or a sub-title.

And if the case is that it doesn't showcase the good members of LB, I'd say replace it with a tournament/reward section that's more view/click base similar to the "History of LB thread" but set up as a excel/page rather than a thread.

Similar to how this is Link here and then have links to the specific tournaments and battles.

Then every time a tournament or event ends, the respected mods edits in the results in the appropriate section. Would be a bit better organized keeping up with things such as the LBA, LBT, LBTT if there was certain sections that kept records and title defenses. Ex. User 1 lost title to user 2, on LBT destiny card, date inserted.. ETC.

Maybe just emphasize that records and rankings aren't an accurate portrayal of an emcee's abilities. Titles are the only things that matter tbh.

maybe keep the star system but wipe it. remove the all time rankings. Have to wipe the star system because like Noble said, 9s and 10s were thrown out like candy in past eras. Even tho bars in this era are better, they actually get lower ratings.

@ILL4 you being #1 on the pseudo ranking system is making people leave the site. some people actually want to battle where talent is, when they come and naturally listen/read bars from the #1 guy they are gonna judge the sites capability based on the highest ranked person. they are going to leave immediately because you are lightweight
