This is a story about a man named Boone

He had the uplifting praise of a gospel group
Yet could still bang with them hard rock dudes
He had more soul than Al Green and Marvin Gaye
and could 'locke a city down' in the harlem days
He was inspirational, he changed my love for music
He was Sensational, to me he was the glove.. The Blueprint
the reason I can move with a rhythm and flow on beat
The reason I'm in tune with a vision... My Gold.. My Retreat
because of him I can listen to the classics and preserve love
to the artistic music that most of ya'll never heard of
I cherished each moment of his living existence with every tune that's imminent
His heartbeat with the rhythm and tick from every musical instrument
And as the harmony, the sorrow, the joy of tomorrow
the hip hop bangs, the poets stanza's deployed through the boroughs
All began to fade away.. So it was.. The last beeps of his monitor
For me.. It was the end of an era. The death of a musical philosopher
