It seems put together pretty damn well for your first beat ever.

The only con for me is that I can't picture someone going in on this.. rap wise that is.

This would be good for a singer if there was a distinct chorus for the hook.

the melody line you used is by Utada Hikaru "First Love" , and you didnt just sample off it.. U jacked the whole Melody dukes.. 1st verse second verse EVERYTHING and chorus melody harmonizes to the JAPANESE lyrics it came from.. u might ass well use the Chorus to it too, u want me to post it for you? did u get this on You tube?? getting the keyed up instrumental of a song and adding some drum beats to it aint makin a beat.. more like a remix.. this should be "First Love" 2011 revisited .. now if you sampled the chorus harmony and layed your own twist of drums on the other parts of it, now that would be called making YOUR OWN beat..

this is the Original Song.. the thing about it is, its an old 90's song and tons of beat makers made a remix of this song already,, too much it diluted the song close to regurgitation.. for short its too played out.. what program are you using?? theres so many ways to sample a melody without jacking the whole thang.. and also pick a better song to copp off frum.. my feedback peace!

im using FL Studio 9... downloaded it yesterday an thought i'd give it a go haha.. and yeah, i know theres gonna be much better ways of sampling... but im still just gettin used to doin it... obviously.
