Yo, you forgot the names of the Cats, birds, and hermit crabs. A witch and pagan tho... aren't they the same? Anyways, Welcome...and Enjoy.

Let me guess, you are super active on tumblr too?
EDIT: On a serious note, I've never actually seen someone in the modern era take paganism seriously enough to live by it.
What path have you taken? Eclectic, Occult, Syncretic, etc?

Yeah, loads of rap, anime, manga, fashion, etc. stuff. I hated Tumblr for years, but it's addictive and I feel more open there than on other blogging platforms, though I have a more srs blog too.
I am eclectic, though I follow the Norse and Hindu pantheons the most. So I am Hindu since I was 13 - 14, Norse since a few years ago. I go with what I'm drawn to. I'm solitary, kind of. My wife and I have both been Pagan since we were in our early teens, so it's something we've been with for 7+ years now. But it's just us. Plus, Utah... Not actually the most active place for Paganism. :/
I gather mainly from old Paganism, as I think the newer stuff is kind of like some sort of 'kid friendly' version. I follow a lot of green witchery and bits of Shamanism as well. Like I said, whatever I'm drawn to. Very much into the earth, grow your own herbs, etc. type of stuff - that's where the Witch lifestyle comes in.
I wish I could better describe what I mean from the older ways. It's very much a feeling more than even a practice, though I do try and do things that way, including Norse blots and such.
Yeah, big rambling answer. ^_^; Sorry.

I was adopted by a family when I was very young who were Hindu, but in recent times I've taken more of an interest in Buddhism, Mahayana specifically.
I don't know much about Paganism, other than what I picked up when I dabbled in my early teens. Eclecticism is more of an amalgamation of ranging influences, correct? And when you say you have more of a nature inspired interest, perhaps you mean Gardnerian Wicca or another subset of neopagan Wicca?
I've turned far more into skepticism inspired ideologies as I age, though, almost completely abandoning any real spiritual or magical connection, to.. well anything haha.
But when you say "older ways" do you mean old deities? Or?

It's a pseudo-religion based around a hypothetical event called the "Omega Point" - in essence, the final state of man, as an intelligent singularity, with all matter and thought compressed into one moment - acting as a saving God in the traditional sense, bringing a (simulated?) humanity back into existence. This was seriously proposed by a scientist named Frank J. Tipler quite a long time ago.
I was briefly one, but my views on these sort of matters have since mellowed out to a more "traditional" form of humanist quasi-Deism, with the technological singularity in its more well-known form of an intelligence explosion as the main driving force to humanity's "salvation," and the actual Omega Point as something which may or may not occur, or even be possible.
If you're curious about it, this site is full of articles about this, and other interesting things. It's an old site with a ton of dead links, but it's worth having a look.
EDIT: (I kind of feel like that if a random potential members reads this, they might just nope the fuck out of the forum, and wonder why this so-called "rap" forum is apparently also a playground for nerd-philosophers.)
