bars? WTF? - Lets Beef

how come nobody here actually scripts their bars in bars?

nuff people just writing blocks of text with no puntuation, and caps to show where they are rhyming.....but i can tell when people are rhyming....cos it rhymes, what i can tell is where the end of peoples lines are. It even says in the forum rules to press enter after every line or you end up with more bars.

When you write like that, you end up writing WAY MORE THAN THE GIVEN AMOUNT OF LINES."

The other thing that is baffling me is that nobody seems to use bars, it says all over the place that its 2 lines a bar yet pretty much every 4 bar verse i have read has actually been an 8 bar. A bar is actually a measure of music, without a beat or being able to hear the rapper its pretty much impossible to tell what is actually a bar because we all spit at different speeds, unless its broken into obvious bars. When people started using"bars" to mean their verse, it used to be that 1 line was 1 bar....now it has changed as most rappers use more multies and spit at twice the tempo of the track, but to get 4 lines in a bar you have to be like twista or some shit.

Example of a 4 bar verse:

"His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy - 1 line
There's vomit on his sweater already, mom's spaghetti - 1 bar
He's nervous, but on the surface he looks calm and ready - 3 lines
To drop bombs, but he keeps on forgetting - 2 bars
What he wrote down, the whole crowd goes so loud - 5 lines
He opens his mouth, but the words won't come out - 3 bars
He's choking how, everybody's joking now - 7 lines
The clock's run out, time's up over, bloah! " - 4 bars

No beef or hatin or what ever i just wanna be clear on what the format is, if you guys do it different now then cool, but can someone tell me what the standard is?
