Yes. Would be best to have a more dedicated group of people who could vote more consistently on battles with solid judgment skills. Simple as that.
Side-note: If you're going to appoint them to be FVC, it should be made to where they are not blockable. It would be completely pointless to have them appointed by staff just to have them blocked by a regular member over a vote that they deem to be a hate vote. (If there is actual evidence to a hate vote, that is obviously a different story).

Definitely agree with FVC being unblockable.

As long as there is an active mod/admin who can be dedicated to running the FVC properly and can make changes to the roster when needed, I see no problem with it coming back.

Personally, I've always viewed the FVC and forum mod positions as recruitment pools for modship. We've always ended up with a better and more active team of mods when we pick people who have proven themselves dedicated to helping out the site in other capacities prior to being modded. Without that, it's hard (at least for me) to know who to mod. When active prospective mods start showing up, the impetus to clean house and replace the laggards gain traction...so having such a pool actually indirectly "steps up" the entire staff.

I think its retarded to decide against a FVC at the current state of affairs in voting.
I have voted on 80 battles in the last 13 days. (I can prove these #'s). I'm not sure what more I can do, but I really think if people that log on this site - for longer than 1 hr per day, can vote on 2-3 battles. It goes further than you think.
I say yes to bringing back FVC, it encourages at least a group of people to vote. What people are not understanding is, a well explained vote - directs a noob down the correct path to becoming better. When noobs are voting for noobs, we all lose.
Also, I would like to join the FVC if you decide to bring it back.
