^I never get stuff like this. Mentality, outside of discipline, doesn't change from training.
I also loved the hilarious "UFC fighters trying to do military training". So they got out of shape heavyweight Gabriel Gonzaga, not known for great cardio Forrest Griffin, former solider who aced everything Brian Stann, and was cut like a year later Marcus Davis.
Someone like Nick Diaz absolutely slaughters a military course.

@ Dave what do you mean by course? If by obstacle course then to be honest anyone can do those. I've only done 2 in my entire career. However some of these special skill schools like Sapper Leader Course aren't for the weak hearted. I can show you a video of Sapper School when I get off work if you are interested

In terms of physical and mental toughness Sapper is tougher than Ranger. SF selection is mainly teamwork. Then SFQ Course is alot of linguistic training and field survival

The one they were to do was designed to be specifically hard. Like the army/marines/whoever were deliberately setting it up to make them look good.
But the fighters selected were always going to struggle. There are lists of UFC fighters who breeze through any military training course. Nick Diaz is a professional fighter, who's never gassed once despite having toe to toe wars in most fights, and also does triathlons in his spare time.
Military martial arts annoy me as well. When people overrate them is all (Krav Maga). For the army, it's understandable. You can't spend 3 years learning hand to hand combat before service. But let's not pretend that it's anything more than a "crash course".

^Not any training course. Like Denton said, Sapper school, pretty much most SOF school. The pipelines are incredibly demanding, I'm sure he could make it through the physical aspect with no issue, but they are major gut checks. It's not about being able to breeze through it physically, the mental strain they put on individuals is the whole point. SEAL training for example, just imagine being out in 58ish degree water, at 3 am in the morning, having gone through the passed 3 days with as little as 2 hours of sleep collectively. And the instructors doing nothing but tempting you with blankets, hot cocoa, hot showers and all sorts of stuff.
There's some Military School, such as Sapper, that spend more time trying to break you down mentally than physically. That kind of mental fortitude isn't too common.
