I'll give it a go but I HATE doing sigs with that much text, they always turn out awful.

Keep working on them bro. Try working with more elements other than just a render and smudging. Think of it is a picture, and you have to add all the pieces to it. If you put a tree in the middle of it, surround it by other trees, know what I mean? Though smudging is cool, I prefer to build up my pieces. If you go this route, don't forget to blur your background so it gives it a lot of depth and draws focus to your main render. If you continue to smudge (Either way is cool, smudge tags are fine), try adding some C4D renders in it to give it some extra lighting. Also, Check out displacement to give more depth and also fill up your canvas a bit more without having to do a whole bunch of extra work or making it too hard on yourself.
