Ima "monster at killing", Phe's dead once i TRACE HIS HOME when i spot the "crib he in? I land bombs" but wont HATE HE'S GONE!!! (Monserrat Killing, Caribbean Island Bombs, Haiti's Gone). .. #learnrealbars

No hate to @RULE.. Just one I noticed upon reading that is like this. All the voters will be like nice shit, nice wordplay dope line.. But really check it out.. (Obviously, not in this battle because it was a tournament, you just get fv and concealed)

Tell me Does that shit make the fucking least a bit of sense to you..

I see this constantly.. I mean all the fucking time from the top heads on the site.. and the voters either never catch the shit, or just think the shit works when half the time the wordplay only works one way or is only relevant one way.

But check the difference here because the other two wordplays did work however..

Again, to clarify that I am just using this bar as an example. But I see the shit all the time. I swear 9 times out of 10 the wordplay doesn't even read grammatically correct if you read it the opposite way.

and I'm only upset about that cause people openly admitted that voted against me because I used an expo.. Not on which verse was better. I've had plenty of respected heads tell me that got robbed in that battle. I mean I understand it is what it is. But you can't blame me for being mad if I think that I got 'robbed'. Losing and knowing you lost is one thing. I'm not saying my bar was all that either. I'm just saying in that particular battle I definitely think I should have won. I didn't even think that the battle was close. I am as honest as they come too. If I thought I lost or if it was close and could have went either way I wouldn't have said anything... You came with a concept thats probably used in like every 10 battles. I mean come on a law is broken line gets that much recognition over a personal that has most likely never been used against you.

Anywho.. This has nothing to do with you, unless you write your wordplay like this.

I understand that aspect of it and the writers side of things. But I don't get how voters can come on and vote like it's all good.. A grammatically fucked up line works anyways cause 'wordplay' was nice.

Using the previous bar as an example. The wont Hate Hes Gone/Haiti's gone.. The actually wordplay sounds nice, but read as a whole it makes no sense and voters never address that side of things. They just see the wordplay and think the shits good. When in actuality there really is no wordplay cause it doesn't read correctly the other way around.

I've complained about this for years. I call it "reference wordplay". R:ican and Pulse do it a lot.

To me, wordplay has to work two ways.

Rush a drop? Only if the soviet economy crashes.
Russia drop? Only if the soviet economy crashes.

Both of these are sentences (a shit punch example tbh), and they make sense as sentances. Using the example Law gave...

me n LAW talked about this long time ago. we agree'd that tho it isn PERFECT PLAY wen it works FINE one way and not tha other. it has become LB's prototype of WORDPLAY.

IKNO I DO IT ALOT, Mainly cause of rule's influence... but still, i do it cause it works for others and ive seen it win them key battles... but to show im not ignant to tha fact.. these are correct/incorrect way to use wp. (from ma scheme battle w/ HVK)
