Rap and Boxing or Rap and Basketball
Is the relationship between rap/hip hop better with Boxing or Basketball?Seems over many decades rap has been linked with many sports. From 2pac and Tyson,From Ali rhyming, from Mayweather and 50.From boxers walking to the ring with Lil Wayne and Rick ross.Just to name a few. Then you have rap moguls such as Jay Z who love basketball etc.Which relationship is more prevalent?

Basketball. I'm pretty sure there have been more Rap songs (not just metaphors or one-liners) made about basketball than boxing.

Rappers participate in celebrity All-Star games. What is the equivalent for boxing?

The strongest relationship between hip-hop and another media form is its relationship with professional wrestling.

Not only is professional wrestling one of the most commonly referenced materials in Hip-Hop, both within songs, and with songs themselves, but, some of the most prolific names of all time(and some of the most popular as a separate scope.) have associated themselves both as fans of and a part of the professional wrestling business.

My favorite sport. You notice that people who come from certain areas have similar styles, same camps have the same style patterns even though you have standouts.
And back story's, Rap and Boxing go hand in hand.
Every place doesn't have a good rapper or even know about rap but alot of places have great fighters.
And everybody thinks they can fight until they get hit with that punch...same with rap
