What motivates you to write?

Everyone has their own means of preparation for a battle, whether it's live, text or audio. What do you do to get those ideas flowing?

I like to watch good boxing matches, or play fighting games because they give me that 'survival' 'go out swinging' feel

Would like to hear everyone's thoughts on this since I've always wondered about it

Posting opens? Nothing lmao... But if I'm writing/replying to a closed battle, I look at my opponents name, avatar, battle history, everything and tha shit just keeps pouring out...

As far as writing songs... What motivates me is actually writing... Went through a phase of writers block song wise for awhile, but the issue was simply i was trying to perfect everything. Now i just write and what comes out comes out. Then i lay it down.

I get motivated from actually writing, completing shit. Keeping the ball rolling type shit

My writing motivation almost wholly stems from other artists. Sometimes I just hear some shit like a bar or a punchline and get a jolt of something in my head that not just inspires me but almost forces me want to write & try topping it creatively. I guess I ride the momentum of things that impress me & try to emulate that feeling with content of my own, be it song-writing or battle related content.

Aesop Rock is one of the best examples of this with me, not only does he have a rabbit hole of a discography but his grasp on evoking imagery with English is just pretty unparalleled. Sometimes I bump his tracks just to write after listening.

Far as motivation? Life. My regular day-2-day plus of course the internet, tv shows, music or other media.

Got hella notes on my phone, I'll either type BARZ, song lyrics, rap lyrics, poems or just general ideas.

Either myself or vibes. More so vibes with music. I take inspiration from movies, sports, shows, video games, etc. I'm always trying to build upon what I've already done with my pen game / style in one way or another
