RULES:

if you want to compete, you'll send a verse to me via pm. i will then post that verse on an alt account as a cypher with the title "contenders verse" This cypher will then be revealed for everyone to rate. The best rated verse holds the iron throne until defeated. the verse that holds the throne during new years day will win the ultimate prize.

REWARDS:

there will be reward given for the following

1. best verse, aka, the last person to hold the iron throne
2. longest reign. who held the throne longest
3. most takeovers. someone who fell from the throne but claimed it again many times.

there will also be penalties

1. revealing somebodies identity (including yourself) in regards to the verse posted will have you disqualified from participating further.
2. submitting stolen bars will have you removed from contention permanently. (concerning this specific tournament)
3. conspiring to have your verse rated highly will result in disqualification for the year.

and lastly...

the person who submits the worst verse will be crowned the courts jester, and (may be subject to) a week long name change.

NOTES:

this tournament is a year long affair, so there are no due dates or concerns about when to join, but, it is recommended that you post your best verse sooner rather than later.

YOU MUST AT SOME POINT RATE YOUR OWN CYPHER. your vote will obviously not count, but this is a good way from keeping people guessing who you are. also, on this note, it is fair game to try and guess who people are, but as a reminder, you shouldn't give hints as to who you are (in terms of your submitted verse)

just because your verse is not currently rated the highest does not mean you're out of contention. a wave of rates may come along and grant you the throne. your verse is only nullified when you yourself submit a new verse.
