I'm a producer too actually.. Its actually pretty good for the first beat. I would suggest more changes and less gaps. Repetition is ok in Hip Hop but make an interesting 8 bar pattern. If you're doing dubstep keep in the 2/4 pattern and try to add more wobble/harder bass. (i do all kinds of music) This is pretty good though for first beat.
