good audio bars = played or mediocre text bars
text is to nerdy when your good at it so it wont appeal to the mass crowds who listen to audio

if your good at text you gotta down it down for audio

like eminem is known as one of the best lyrical rappers but if you take his lyrics and read them in text, it really isnt that great.

not really a good answer to me....lol...because it still doesnt explain this whole 'stepping stone' shit...why get good at text...to dumb your shit down in audio...seems like writing audio is a stepping stone to get better at text to me

@Krhyme, I myself said text is a stepping stone.. for myself. Like, I always tried writin rhymes since i was 12, but I was never gonna get on a mic with the shit i was writin then - Same situation when I joined Lb.. I wasn't gonna go straight into audio without knowin how to string some punches together... 'n that's where text help me.

I suppose it all depends on how old you are or how long you bin battling.

EDIT: I know what you saying about dumbing it down when you hop over to audio... But seriously, getting on a mic and spittin vocally is alot different to just writin some bars down and saying them in your mind.

text is a stepping stone to audio because then you got bars so you just have to work on flow and delivery with them or what you said, its a variable that can go both ways

Actually text battles have really helped my Audio...Seeing some of the Crazy Shit ppl come up with in these battles, makes you wanna elevate your bars...Of course it will be a little more basic in Audio(esp to a beat) but if you're good at one, then transition to other shouldn't be that difficult IMO
