The Demon

This is a dope battle. Props to both.

Purps : You picked it up as the verse went on. A few multis hit and miss (trailin paparazzi, seemed to be extra syllable to the rest). You had a few really nice hits, woodwork punch had me lmao, good set up

Rhet: To scheme a 32 was impressive; although a few forced multis here & there. Fruit Ninja punch was nice; could have set up a few punches a bit better but overall, I'd say this is one of your strongest verses.

very different styles, punch count was nice on both sides. Felt Rhets verse continued to flowed well from start to finish, a couple of Purps could have worked better.  But overall, not a lot to decide this. Fair vote in, GL to both

Phew! this battle was dope. This could go either way based on preference however, in my opinion this was not as close as I thought it would be. Purps came in pretty wild, his first 16 was really established and not too many guys on this site can beat that style right now (I believe Rhet can on a good day, going 100%). Had a couple played concepts mostly but managed to brighten 'em up smoothly. Just had the right combination of grittiness and cleanliness. Rhet used his signature style and brought an overall solid verse. But I feel like he took too many risks here, cutting at alot of angles. But in his defense, I think Purps caught 'em off gaurd here cos who would of expected

This was super tough to vote on because of the contrast in styles. Purps verse was written near flawlessly. It has a bit of everything...rhymescheming, personals, angling, different types of wordplay. It's super clean...the wording and flow are impeccable. I can't stress enough how much that elevates the floor of a verse...like even the low points aren't terrible because it's well written. There were quite a few haymakers...slashing prices, Woodstock, bank account, mask, and kamikazee. Only critique I have is that the impact kinda fell off after kamikazee. Aside from the Gandalf punch, the last 12 lines or so werent on par with the first 20, which were up there with any verse I've seen since I've been back. Rhetorik took a gamble with the rhyme scheme. IYKYK, I read this whole verse in the Mike P Hadouken/Shoryuken voice. Haha. You run the risk of being redundant when you rhyme 3 syllables as often as Rhet did here...and it happened a little bit. A number of the words/combinations were used multiple times..not enough to make it bad but I'm splitting hairs because this is genuinely close. There were also a million punches...the volume was crazy. Some really excellent stuff and the way some of them were layered, setting up the next one...next level. The volume led to more overall hits than Purps had and the highs were about equal..opening set about Bleu was well done...challenger bar was nuts, the set after was back to back with the same concept, nu metal, drop G, nu metal all nice...beautician to Bruce Pritchard was crazy. There were also more low points and they kinda stood out more but the high points were spread more than purps were so it made the hits seem more consistent.

ive gone back and forth on this a few times...it might be one of those that I see differently when I read it a year from now. I gotta lean towards Purps though...Rhets gamble with the rhyme scheme was huge and imo it didn't pay off. Aside from redundancy, I think it limited him in some spots that had otherwise creative angles and plays which woulda hit harder if worded differently...plus it kinda helped Purps opener about Rapid Delivery hit a little more than it would've.  Purps had that gap without super impactful punches toward the end of his verse and Rhet had more overall hits, but he also had his share of haymakers and didn't make any writing mistakes.

BOTY so far. Good shit gentlemen.

This was an entertaining battle gud lord! 32 bars but I felt Purps was consistent thru out the verse and Rhet came with beat but wasn't that hard hitting enough for me.
