This was an entertaining read here from both. I've got Erupt taing the win here, easily. MR was nice, but ddin't hit as often and as hard as Eurpt did. Props to both.

probably the best battle i've seen lately, i thought masked had some played wordplay on rupt, but still did it with class, and that "monsters inc" bar was fucking sick.

but for rupt, your flow, personals, and steeze were unmatched here. botb has to go to erupts closing bar.

Tens cause ya'll nice. Honestly I sfter reading Masked I was thinking he may have this. But after the opener Rupt just spazzed. What won IMO was the clean verse with hardly anything that was forced. Salute both.

I havent really read much of your lines so I was kinda shocked to see some of your content and how your words flowed effortlessly on even difficult and awkward sylls. After I got to the Antarctica bar you had my attention. Also appreciated the different wording, "...voters all on rotation" dead giveaway... organ donation." yeah. Well put together. Didnt really see any flaws til I read erupts verse side by side n noticed you stretched the set ups a bit and that extra space coulda fit more punches or corelations and amounted to a fuller verse. Really good none the less.

Best bar was "So u retiring? So what? you be MISSING TOMORROW UNNOTICED, Legend of LB? Na u stopped-on-the-cusp, ain’t seen “nothing hot-from-Erupt” since “KILIMANJARO EXPLODED”... Yah, so it may be a played scheme but It was a flawless sounding 8 syll with internal rhyming. PROPS. Question is: whos multi are you? Nah JK.

Rupt- First bar impression was that Masked is gonna give you a run for your $. Then the second bar hit harder. Excommunicate bar was dope but the lead up, while rhyming was on point, was way too long even for a 16. The middle ya verse was lighter than expected upon second read. The kentucky derby bar was hard to rhyme those sylls and it sounded a lil unusual so the punch came out mediocre. Red cross bar I fuck with, cuz they are some katrina scammin crooks fa sho.

Then the closer. Look, it coulda been worded better (not by me tho lol) in the set up but the point was there. The fact that it was broken up so many times made it difficult to read. None-the-less this was my Fav bar of the battle because of the strong personal, the difficulty of the syllables, and the way you linked the 'lacked star power' with the grammatical significance of the asterisk itself. Need I explain further?

MR. I'm critical as fuck when I vote btw and I know you tried to go in, so don't take it personally haha. I usually find I'm more gravitated to pointing out the negatives when reading a verse. I felt a little thrown off with the flow of the first multi. I'm not 100% sure why. I wasn't sure where my pauses were coming in. If you maybe had the "DEAD BEAT..." rhyme earlier, I'd be like "Cool so I'm saying EV-RY, AN-Y" etc. but because it came later I was a little scattered on it. I'm not a big fan of when the multi isn't the end of the piece. So when you say "ANYTHING TO STOP....an L" it's another thing that throws me off a little bit. The wording of the first wordplay is awkward. If you were to say the phrase "I got the W in the bankrupt" that gramatically makes no sense, so you want to me sure the wordplay works both ways.

Flow massively picked up in line 2 so I was immediately more happy. Punch itself is a little on the simple side. "You're not cold anymore like the antarctic". Could have used a little bit more beefing up, or relate it a little bit more to Erupt.

The wording of "one eye on the monster" was sooooo pointing towards you meaning a dick so I'm very happy that wasn't the case haha. The random "strike a deal with Punk" was a bit weird. Usually I'd say a Monsters Ink line is a little generic but you managed to word this well and deliver it well so good scoring here.

Dead giveaway was actually sick and you linked it very well to a personal. Well constructed line. I'm sure some people might be pedantic on the multi but I thought it worked well throughout. Really liked this line.

Not a fan of the line right after which is a shame. Seemed like a bit of a forced concept from the "voices in your head" idiom, and because you never went "Hey Erupt fucks his own mother" if kind of popped up out of nowhere. SORROW AND COLD felt a little forced too, like you were having some trouble with that rhyme scheme.

Erupt nameplay with a volcano is pretty meh. Not worded badly or anything, but it's like saying "If you see Reaper show up in this battle, it's after I kill MR". If Erupt uses that I'll be in stitches after this haha. But you know what I mean? Like especially when your opponents been named this for like 11 years, "Erupt/Volcano" is something he would have heard on day 1 and you didn't try to twist it into something brand new.

I don't know if you expo'd the connection between erupting and salt but I googled it, and whenever I google shit, I immediately don't like it. It might be in the expo but if this is a real battle, I'm not asking the battlers to chill so I can understand the lines. 

Overall, as I said, I'm being critical. I usually try to balance being critical Vs who I'm commenting on. If I think they'll understand every bit of what I say, then I'll break it down like I did here. If they're brand new and they need to work on some absolute basic concepts like "do punches" then I'll be a lot nicer. So don't take it too harshly. A good verse that was structured solidly like a battle verse. I'd say if you took a week longer to write, wrote some more punches out and decided "Alright, Erupt/Volcano can go, aint cold like the arctic can go" you'd have been doing a lot better. But you wrote very quickly so I gotta recognize that too.

Erupt, MR will back this up, I told him that if I was to battle him now, I'd probably make some lame nameplay like "Mask - Covid" and I didn't want to do that. So I gotta dock you points even though the line was worded pretty well haha. Yeah a bit like what I said to MR about "Erupt". This does get a few more points because it's "current", but it's basically the day one generic concept you're gonna come up with off of the name.

The Xanda line was worded very slickly. Really originally structured. This is the shit that's hard to explain why it's good. No flip. No wordplay. Just a slickly delivered line.....however that shit was kicked straight in the balls for laughing at your own joke. This isn't 2008 we stopped reacting to our own bars over a decade ago haha.

Excommunicate line was pretty good but again like I said to MR, you gotta make that wordplay work both ways. "The way You and excommunicate" doesn't make any sense gramatically. This should have been a simple line to check that oversight.

The multi was really hard to flow with in the horse-in around line. Hard to get the pattern you were going with. Good line and good relevant personal, but are we really still doing "round" bars?

I do like a one liner and the red cross in a court room one is a perfect example of that. Sometimes we get so used to like 4 multis to set a line than when you just come out with a jab like that, it can get the biggest reaction. Liked that line even though it was simple as hell. Fuck complexity.

I'm really annoyed I originally didn't get the final punch but that's entirely on me. Too fucking gramatically minded to think of the asterisk as a "star". I think if you had maybe not added "star power" as a term and said more like "it lacked stars" or something it would have given me more of an indication, but this time I'm not docking marks as it wasn't too hard to understand. Pretty solid concept I haven't seen before despite being the whole centre of most verses written in the past 5-7 years. Cool to find a new delivery of that idea.

Overall, I liked how pretty much every line you related it back to a personal point. It really makes a difference because it always makes the verses feel tailor made as opposed to "Here's one I made earlier". A couple of slight technical issues here and there and a few cliches but can't say it's a bad verse from those.

Overall, really good battle. I'm going to vote Erupt, just because I feel it was a little bit more "polished". Things flowed that bit better for me which makes a big impact on the delivery. I think Erupt's ability to relate things back to M.R. really helped as well. For example, M.R. said "You're not cold anymore" but you could have maybe framed that line to tell us "Erupt is no longer as good as he was" a bit more, rather than just hitting out with it. I think Erupt was a little bit better, even if using as little words, at telling us WHY he's writing this line about MR, for example "He begged for this battle" immediately sets up the narrative for the charity line.

A good battle none the less. Also good to see you guys pulling in some votes. MR's killing it at bringing some activity into the field. I also think if MR did stay active for a year, he'd win this battle.

line for line one verses fluidity made their punches hit harder. The build up/wording made the main punch less predictable.. and the verse always slightly more directed at the opponent through out. Fair ones in fellas. 

This has taken me days to come up with a vote cos I think it's neck and neck, but in the end I had to go with Rupt. I thought MR's Mike Wazowski line was BOTB, for whatever reason that made me laugh so much lol, but otherwise I think Erupt had several more memorable hits being delivered more consistently, especially the closer which I really liked. MR just had a few weak lines like the closer and the Antarctica one (which was technically fine just a bit generic and also seemed a bit of a reach since Antarctica's still freezing af).
