going with NME for the better jabs and multis here. Jester's were much too basic and seemed like he was rambling about randon lifestyle events at places too which made his overall diss pretty scattered.

OK I understand that the topic of the battle is "tell a story", but I still have this one going to Nme. This is why.

When voting on a battle, I have to compare two fundamental elements of the verses: the ideas they're conveying, and how they execute them. The stipulation "tell a story" means I weighed the ideas in both verses against how well they told a story; but the execution side of things remains the same as normal – cleanness and complexity of rhyming, clarity of writing, the way that double meanings are set-up and flipped etc.

Ideas-wise, Nme didn't know about or follow the stipulation really at all, so didn't get many points here. But despite setting the stipulation, I didn't think Jesters Joke pulled too far ahead here. There wasn't so much a story that I could clearly discern as just an "I'll kidnap you and beat you up" theme, which wasn't too disimilar to the kind of stuff Nme was saying anyway. Therefore, although Jester had a lead in the ideas side of things, it wasn't much.

Execution wise I felt Nme was ahead. The verse picked up steam as I got into into it, and consistently brought in better double-meanings, multis, flow and clarity than Jester's verse.

Therefore, with Jester slightly ahead on ideas and Nme comfortably ahead on execution, my vote goes to IamTheNme. Good battle though, and a tough call to make.
