You know, I've been on this site a long ass time, and it's interesting to me to see the way that the styles on this site have evolved over time. I see a LOT of RULE in this battle. I'll be real up front with my stylistic preferences and say that I came from the wayback and have always considered this style inferior. So let me get that out of the way first as a sort of a disclaimer, because I feel like my ratings may be artificially deflated in some fashion because of this. With that out of the way I can get to how I really feel about this battle, and it was....okay. I honestly didn't see anything of note in the first verse. Most of the punches seemed less like a diss and more like a reference...it's like the Family Guy version of battle rapping. Didn't think the flowing was anything special either. Lockhart was...decent, but I didn't love it. The flowing was generally on point, but got really RULE-ish at times, meaning there were some long ass setups without any rhyming that killed any sense of flow to the verse. There were also some wordplay's that didn't really seem to work that well. That said, I guess there wasn't anything fundamentally wrong with it, and I liked several of the concepts, even if I didn't love the execution. Voted: Dysfunctional /

Okay, this was a difficult decision for me. I felt my loser had the higher readability factor, with no filler, and throwing some punchlines back to back. However, his multies were shorter and more simplistic than those of his opponent's. In addition, I felt that most of his punchlines were of the relational/double-en tendre style, without wordplays to back them up, though he did have some of those as well. Moving on to my winner, I thought your biggest flaw was taking too long to get to your punches. This was especially apparent in one of your bars, where I was feeling like, "Damn, here's the punch!" and then it turned out to just be part of the setup. I won't say what or where to prevent swaying. However, overall, I felt your punches were more creative. This comes down to fluidity and readability with weaker punches versus harder punches with weaker flow, but I think one came harder overall, here. Mid-Low. Fair's in. Voted: Dysfunctional /
