Felt like one was more clever w/ it, both kinda went with the same short bar style and i felt like one outperformed the other in it with punches backed by better setups. Fairs in. Voted: Rain-Matrix /

VOTING UPON ILLokWENT's MESSAGE - Since this battle is slept atm. Well, Nice lines from both. This is how I think here - Opener - A good opener vs. A strong opener. That's about it! Both attempted nameplays but Ones hit really hard for me. Closer - Both closers woulda been executed in a better way yet I feel other's opener was better than one. Multies - Other was better than one in use of multies as well as internals and also in its quality. Personals - I don't find many here (excluding nameplays - no personals) so I would give a tie here. Wordplay - Rain Matrix (Now I say that clearly coz if I say in terms of one and other the vote would be clearly swayed coz he actually attempted a wordplay apart from nameplays. Metaphors - I'd give an edge to other here due to consistent attempts in dropping em. Punchlines - I'd give it to other .. One had a dope bar in his verse but I cant really give the whole cata to him on the basis of just one bar. So I got a clear winner. Now what I think is --- Rican - I felt youd've framed your closer in a better way to make it hit. I actually feel the usage of scheme woulda done in a more better way. i.e. see your scheme - BITCH A MUZZLE - MEET THE KNUCLES - CIAN COUPLES - IN THE HUSTLE - WITH A DUFFLE - Now if you read complete scheme one by one you'd feel theres no problem at it and CIAN COUPLES can work as a slant. Even I feel the same but main problem with this is the consistency in the syllables or words between two sets of a same scheme. There's a gap of 8 syllables between BITCH A MUZZLE and MEET THE KNUCKLE. Then I feel its 13 syllables b/w MEET THE KNUCKLE and CIAN COUPLES and absolutely no syllables between sets IN THE HUSTLE , WITH A DUFFLE - This IS what disturbs the flow while reading the verse. Even if those are valid multies the reader doesn't like the feel while reading it since it doesn't flows well due to inconsistency in the syllables b/w the rhyming sets of the same scheme. I would advice you to keep the syllable count consistent between the two sets of the scheme since it would better the readability of the verse and also coz the readers like cleaner bars. Rain - I don't really understand why "UNDERSTAND" and "FUCKERS RAPS" were capped in your opener? They don't rhyme imo. Also that line had no relevance with your original punch/ nameplay line (I think so!) rather I felt that bar woulda been much better with a relevant setup added with it. Also the toss a salad/ cafeteria bit is played in my opinion, rather I feel a creative punchline woulda made your verse overall stronger. Anyways, Fair is in. Voted: Rain-Matrix /
