Let's Talk Audio LBA Championship 2024...
 

Aight LB,

We have the text side of things going pretty consistently. I'm willing to start-up the audio side of LBA (clean slate, new 0-0 records) if I can get a minimum of 4-6 battles locked in.

I'm even willing to do an acapella division and a on-beat division if I get enough response. Otherwise, it will be the traditional acapella format.

As for tournaments, I dunno if we have the active base to throw anything major, but the leagues are driving most of the activity on the site.

Holler at the poll and let me know what you think in the comments.

What man? HOW is it disrespectful? It's been months since any audio league, so it would make sense to scrub the pre-existing records. Did the same on the text side leaving only active battlers (and their pre-existing records) in the table.

I’m definitely down to doing an Audio League. I just started doing audio battles consistently and it’s way much easier than text battles . You can just feel the energy. I would even recommend doing Live Online Video Leagues sometime in the near future. That would really shut competition down and see whose really the best at what they say they are.
But instead of deleting everyone’s wins maybe delete the losses giving the previous winners an advantage instead of taking all their hard work away!

Word.. keep in mind this is just for a monthly battle card, not a tournament.
Video is probably months out from consideration - Audio is lacking activity except a few, so this conversation is to incentivize some more activity. Good thoughts

Text and Audio activity is different. Text is more consistent. Something different needs to be done.

LBA is/was a monthly battle card with a championship ladder (2-6 battles depending on activity). There's not enough sustain for a weekly league (Premier League). I agree that text is more consistent. That's why I'm having an open discussion about a monthly card where audio heads can battle in the tried and true format that text is using now...

Here's What I'm purposing...

LBA - Monthly Battle Card and W/L moves you up the ladder toward Contender/Champ

For reference, read the LBT/OBK thread I literally just signed you up for by your request, it's all in there.. instead of LBT and OBK - it would be LBA (Acapella) and/or LBA (Beat)

Premier - Weekly Battle Card and Points get you the Championship

There aren't even old records for LBA to go off of, so it's not even a scrub. It'd be starting fresh anyway.

I was part of neither....noone around worth battling or yapping too.....but all you older audio cats do is talk about your feeling in chat....when a tournament or a league comes around you guys piss and moan about something...you'll always find something, this thread proof enough.....why don't y'all just shut up and do the damn league of yer all that much better than everyone else...let the decay begin

Here's the deal with audio ..

I've been pretty much the most active kat in audio with only a half dozen others for the past few years. Consistently...month after month, season after season. I've seen how all activity works with basic open battles and events way...even More than staff has…and I've been saying this.

Being able to enter any audio tournaments or league, or lba should be the incentive. .

Anyone who wants to enter an event needs to be actively ranked. Kats that don't actively participate in audio shouldn't be able to participate in events..

It's only fair to the users that are actually active, battling and voting.

It ain't necessary easy for everyone to come up with bars and record. It ain't text...you gotta actually spit. So for Kats to come off the bench, then bounce after it's done and not be active again till another event is wack AF.

It's only 5 battles....We can even make it 3 battles. Also voting should also be a part of it. Say at least 5 battles need to be voted on.

Once it's the norm .. shit should be active AF.

All around it would be better too. For example. If a new user has been actively open battling, and then there's a tournament. Then let's say a vet that hasn't battled in over a year and hasn't been active at all in audio, voting or anything, jumps in a tournament.

Now the vet is up against that new user. That battle would be way better if that vet WAS actively battling and voting prior to the tournament. Just personas are a huge factor...The vet in that scenario has an advantage if they just get to jump in events.
That's just one example…

I'm hoping it would get Kats that are actually good and have bars would start being active..that's the main reason for me to keep it real. Everything else it for the site to get active and Kats don't get to pop shit and enter events..💯

New users aren't allowed in tournaments right? So why should someone who's may have been active in the past, be allowed to jump in without being active first. It's a no brainier.

Events should be for Kats that put in work. Not Kats that put in work years ago and are too cool to actively vote and battle, but will login to pop shit…I see that shit all the time. And I'm constantly calling them out…

What's the worst that can happen...it would be dead? 😆...It always dead. that's the problem. I know I wouldn't want to sit in the sidelines. And I purposely did to prove a point....it was a shitty event too and the off the bench kat wom easily too…smh. proved it but nobody sees it.
