So I know the audio side of lb has been lacking. But there are still active battlers that are consistently droppin and Some are very active. So why not start a league? Start going head to head with weekly cards, each person will battle another person twice a month and a 3rd for a tie breaker. We can get into the details once it gets going, like rankings, because we wouldn't be able to go by the sites rankings. Also getting active voters, but I think votes would increase with quality battles.

But think about it...head to head battles are obviously better than just dropping open battles and sniping open battles. Honestly what's the point of a battle with one person not directed at anyone. And the person who snipes it..their verse is directed directly at them.😆 It's not a real or even a fair battle. And Most open battles that aren't directed at anyone usually lose. It's always going to be one-sided...even if it's freestyle. And if someone does drop an open directed towards someone it usually will get sniped by someone other than who it's for.

That's why I've been talkin shit to a few audio heads...so y'all will battle me. And to me the only battles that are interesting are the ones where both users are writing bars for each other. And I know people will be busy and might not have time to drop their verses. But if you know you are going to battle every in the league at least twice, you can get them ready prior. And again, quality will get better because of that as well.

I get if there's users that just want to freestyle for fun...cool. But for a user to drop 10-15 battles a month...why not go head to head? Even if it's freestyle which can be done in the league as well, but it's definitely geared towards writing bars.

Once we get a few involved, I think it would get noticed by new members that signup, drop one or two battles, and never come back to the site. We get at least 5 or 6 users like that. And for them to actually drop some verses to me it means they are interested enough to do that. Something has to happen to keep them around, and this could do that.

We could even do a big card at the end of the month for prizes. We can do special events like best verse, topical, schemes, live events. We can get people to do graphics for the cards to get more involvement. And even incorporate text into it, because audio and text have always have been separate and really shouldn't be. It's really unlimited to the amount of things we could do with it. But...we just need people to be down.

So, if I'm reading this correctly you want to create a separate league strictly for directed battles?

It's not the worst idea. If you think you can get people interested in it we can see about working out the details.

A league isn't a bad idea. It was proposed years ago too.

Id say do a point system and have a spreadsheet for it that is updated regularly.

3 points for a win, 1 point for a no-show win and 0 for an L.

One battle a week would be best imo but two to three a month could work well too.

One with the most points at the end of league wins.

I like this idea Kinda like KOD.
We can keep the same season format within the league and make the champ fights based on points earned.
How many battles are we thinking per event I am thinking 4-6 if possible 2:00-3.00 with a preset schedule based on battlers for the season. Thought's

This was my first thought as well sort of. My thought was do it like a live league. Organize the battlers by tiers and have events. People can move up the card by doing well. Maybe do monthly events. It would definitely be cool.

With that I think the rest we can figure out on the fly and fine tune it. I ready to get a list a battlers and get the schedule for the first 'Season' or whatever we will call this. Thoughts on continuing. I'm think at least 8 battlers we should be good to go. Can we get some vets to vote at the live event and whoever wants to vote on the battles scheduled that they. we would put that battlers have to agree on the set of judges and crew rules will still apply. Thought ?
