Text Cypher Tourney
 

No, this is not the Topical Champion. Simply put, this will be the first ever text Cypher Champion. If you’re interested, feel free to sign up.

Here’s how it will go:

Each contestant will have to agree to a particular topic and try to best one another with the better cypher. There will be a topics thread open to anyone with ideas to be given to each participant for each round. Each battler will have to post their cypher topic/title in the comments section upon posting their verse. Voters, rate each drop how you would any other cypher.

Winner will be crowned Cypher Champion.

This is a complete eye sore to get through.. I ask though, how would this be different from the Concept Champion or the Topical Champion? Just rated on bars that don't have to necessarily be battle bars?

Text heads are deep on here and active. Most audio heads just drop 1-5 opens, bounce, and come back in a month, and that it...smh

Everybody that spits, are on the wack ass like for likes rap apps, which LB should of been the first to have an app, because we were the first and actually only site to have a voting system and an audio recorder. Probably a decade before anyone else, and it's funny, there still is no site with it, because its all apps. We really shit the bed on that one. When I was away, and couldn't get online, I really thought we would have an app.

But yeah no hate to the text heads, y'all hold it down. There's always enough text heads to get shit poppin.

Just so everyone is on the same page... sites had audio battle uploads far before LB. Those same sites also had detailed voting systems. They just died. This one is still alive. Let's keep it that way.

Precisely. Topicals are based on a picture given and done via the forums and concept tourneys are for battle related bars. The cypher tourney would still be a battle, but not bars directed directly at ur opponent. It’s sort of like a mixture of the topical and concept tourneys as u stated, but not exactly.

Not with audio recorders, that's what I was gettin at. And definitely no video battles or cyphers. There was nothing like LB. And I'm talkin before 2010....And to say any site was fuckin with LB in it's glory days would be blasphemy. They were only forums, and we used to body them. Remember the site battles?..LB would go and smack those sites around. I can't remember the names tho. Rap ave? Goldmic? It was a bunch of em...

Yeah when this site was active there was nothing touching it in terms of activity and talent on the site
