Video GC 2022: Sign up thread
Welcome to the new Video Grand Champion feature of letsbeef. We had video battles in the past but that feature was removed. Now we have brought it back and what better way to do so than with a tournament.
How this will run You will record yourself spitting your bars and then upload those bars to either YouTube or TikTok and then copy and paste the link of that video into the submit battle section, similar to uploading an MP3 for Audio battling. It'll look something similar to this (this is the normal battling arena for Videos) https://i.ibb.co/7C6YSDX/Screenshot-294.png This will be an a cappella tourney. It round will be 1 min long. Start date TBC once we have sign ups filled. Prizes: Video Grand Champion $100 dollars 6 months Premium membership free. Any three emcee items of their choice So if you're interested in proving your battle skill, be sure to sign up below and we shall get the ball rolling shortly. 1: @ThaGauddyGawd 2: @Zanjeev 3: @Shodan 4: @RhymeSmoke 5: @MURDURMAKUR 6: @Lockhart 7: @Erupt da Monsta 8: 9: 10: 11: 12: 13: 14: 15: 16: |

Yeah let's get it...even though not sure how I would do it since supposedly I need to punch in on all my shit...smh..
better get y'all breath control up! So 2-3 minutes to a beat right? Or we gonna do some wack 60 sec accapella? And it's battle format right? |
Its battle format.
A cappella as there would be issues if recording vocals while playing a beat at the same time, since its a video and not uploading an MP3 of vocals recorded onto a beat. |

When two different audio sounds, come from different sources and are being recorded into one mic, especially a phone mic, both audio signals will compete for space, resulting in fluctuations between the vocal signal and the instrumental signal.
Which will create a weird/choppy end product with either audio signal dipping underneath the other one and vice versa on play back. This is also without taking into consideration, each persons own personal "set up" and/ or equipment they have available to use to record their video submissions, as well as their individual set-up distances from the mic that is recording the audio signals. To ensure everyone has the best chance of submitting their best video submission, its best to do an a cappella tourney. All going well we can certainly do another one with beats that is more of a "Music video" style format rather than imitating a "Live battle performance" style format. Quote:
If you're not able to submit an audio take that isn't doctored or can't spit a capella, its cool. No need to try and preempt excuses before the tourney starts, man. There's been many GC's for A cappella, so not sure what that comment was either. Anyway. best of luck to all taking part. |
