The League Presents: "The Statement" - Developments by RhetoriK™ *CEO* - Lets Beef

Thought I'd put out a statement about the league since everything jumps off on Tuesday with "Showtime!!"

The league was devised to clean up the ridiculous looking Hotlists of lately but has obviously blossomed into something larger than that over the course of a couple of weeks. Big Ups to all the battlers that have commited their talents to make this a reality. With that said, here's what's being worked on.

The Movement

With rising interest in the battle league, we'll continue to drop weekly/bi-weekly cards featuring MCs from The League. This will continue indefinatley until the Text Grand Championship hosted by Askari. During the first 2-3 cards that drop (Showtime, The Gauntlet, and the Foundation) battlers will be placed into a Tier System (Top, Middle, Bottom) based on performance, hype, and skill. A non-aggregate record will be associated to each battler for their Wins and Losses. I'll also be keeping track of how many votes get dropped on each battle as well. This will be calcluated in a "Power Ranking" within the league. We might have some battlers that are 0-2 but are crowd favorites, or the opposite, so I'll adjust matchups accordingly.

After the Text GC tournament the tiers will be announced along with one GM for each respective division. The GM's will organize cards for the respective tier levels and will converse with me about potential 'underdog' matchups based on actual beef, elevation, and hype.

The Future

I'm in the development phase of getting some awards together for performance. Right now, I'm seeing two GREEN titles: "Audio League Champion" and "Text League Champion." The titles will be based on total record only. I'm not disclosing how these titles will be awarded at this time, nor am I disclosing the policy on title defense/challenge as the league is in its infancy.

I'm also working on solidifying 10 spots in the GC tournament for the Top 10 Text Competitors in the league. This is currently un-confirmed, but the MCs fueling the Hotlist and putting in work/winning battles could possibly be rewarded a one time berth.

The success of this league will hinge on our record keeping ability and the MCs "show-up" ability moving forward. I have a couple of spots left to fill the hearalded "Bangarang" Card. Once these spots are filled, I will be closing entry into the league and focusing solely on developing strogner cards as the year progresses.

I'll be announcing the GM spots shortly before the GC tournament. The Tier levels are not a device to caste the league, but more so an opportunity to shine. If you're a battler that gets placed in the middle or bottom tier consider it 'time give' to refine your skill and aim for the sky. Just my opinion.

Hope y'all enjoy thie upcomming event "Showtime!!" it's modeled after Grintime's Bar Exam event which was the Inagural Card to spark their movement. This will also be the last "text only" card. The audio contingent has shown heavy interest in being a part of the movement. Here's the lineup:
