Is hip-hop music really for everyone?

i think when people look back at OLD SCHOOL they remember the good songs only......this warps perceptions of how "good" the era was! mainly it was easier to PRETEND back then. alot of people think tupac was the biggest thug in the game......he got caught up with suge who at the time was a thug in the game!! perceptions. i can think back a few years pick 8-9 really good songs and think yea that was the shit, i can do that 10-15 years back and do the same.......hiphop is everywhere now so we hear MORE of the shit music as opposed to the groundbreaking and truly great songs only. i have every tupac, jay z, biggie album etc etc that would be considered top 5 in most peoples opinions......i still skip a BUNCH of their tracks listening now. anyway im rambling but thats my 2cents
