Don't get me wrong Messi is a great player. What makes him so special is his low center of gravity. It makes him deadly when running at opposing defenders (Just like my all time favourite City player Georgi Kinkladze. I actually think Kinky would be better than Messi had he been surrounded by the same players (Kinky was MESSI before MESSI was Messi). Thats another thing Messi benefits from. Being surrounded by players like Xavi and Iniesta and an all round solid squad with stabillity and a clear focus in terms of how to play the game. Ronaldo has never had this.

I feel the same way @Just C. You don't know how fucking happy I am to FINALLY hear somebody else analyze the two players from this perspective. Everybody sucks Messi's dick cuz he scores 40 goals a year. But that's cuz of the way Barcelona plays. They funnel everything into him & he finishes it off. He's a great dribbler and is strong for his size. But Physically, Ronaldo is second to none. I'd compare Ronaldo to LeBron & Messi to Jordan... Ronaldo has all the physical tools to be the best, but Messi gets all the recognition cuz he has more accomplishments @Streetz Da Hood
