Depends, In a written text battle...you more times than not don't really need an expo or anything because everything is right there, the WP, metaphores, etc...which you can see how they used it. In audio however you can't really catch all WP, Metaphores, etc. without an expo sometimes. Rather it just go over someones head, or just a very complex verse where the punch or whatever gets kinda buried in all the complexity. To sum it up, for text battle purposes: you don't really ever need an expo unless you want to make something very clear. Audio: it's more accepted as you are only listening to what someone is saying rather than physically reading their verse. Clarity.

and I wouldn't consider that "Swaying" but if you're posting comments like: "you got killed, your verse succ'd, bla bla yada yada" That's more swaying. But to be honest you don't really need to say anything on a battle, let the verse do the talking. #Certified.
