yeah red ring was more of a first gen problem after launch.. but i have a similar story to yours. i had been playing GTA for about 2 weeks and right when online came out my xbox (halo 4 edition i got last year) couldnt read any disc that i put in.. so i had to send it off to microsoft. should be back within a few days.
