Anyone find it strange that the Boston bomb squad were holding a controled explosion the same day just round the corner?

This is going back to what pulse was hitting on with Sandy Hook. All these officials holding "duds" for the very same scenario around the same time, I'm not saying its anything but u gotta admit that it's extremely weird and very convenient.
