I found getting a six pack ridiculously easy, seriously.

I was never close to fat but I was doughy as hell from years of what can only be described as abuse to my body lol, but before my holiday this year I trained for like 4 months tops:

Only eat carbs with one meal a day, usually a lunch
Eat fruit and plenty greens (always aim for your 5 a day) so it'd be fruit for breakfast with yoghurt, a sandwich or a baguette for lunch and maybe salmon with broccolli & green beans for dinner or chicken curry or whatever. Also no red meats.

With the nutrition nailed I started off running but found it wasn't really getting me anywhere fast enough (which is immature as fuck but I was dying for results man lol) so I started a program I found on that Mike Chang's youtube, that high intensity interval cardio training shit. I coupled some of the routines with regular light weight exercises - I only wanted to rip up and not bulk in any way - and some fairly strenuous ab workouts and no shit I'd tightened up like a motherfucker in a matter of weeks; by the time of my holiday, maybe a month or two later, the abs were ripped as fuck.

Pain in the ass now is that I feel like I lost too much weight lol, so I'm on an "eat everything in sight and lift heavy" mission currently. Compound workouts and minimum cardio for now.

Speaking of which, @Jason, you got any tips or things to avoid when bulking up? I don't wanna end up either back at square one or worse.
