YOU'RE taking it in a social context.
"Equal rights"
Equal rights can refer to:
Equality before the law, when all people have the same rights
Human rights, when such rights are held in common by all people
Civil rights, when such rights are held in common by all citizens of a nation
Women's rights, when such rights are held in common by both men and women
I ran a Google search for Equal rights, wikipedia came up first..and hey, look @ the first line ^
So yeah. In this case my argument embodies 'equality' in its entirety whereas you're only looking at one aspect of equality.
