I look at it like this...you either buy your equipment or find a great deal on studio time

Learn to produce your own shit, save up money, get a well-respected DJ on a mixtape, release an album online (everything is digital now) and charge $10 for the digital copy and $20 for the physical copy w/ artwork and an autograph or w/e

This is how heads like Wax, Prince EA, & Dumbfoundead are getting by.
