It wasn't a mis spelling of the topic, i spelt it that way on purpose to open up personal interpretation. Why did I do that? Because writing about a video game isn't in everybodys to-do list. You wanted to which is why you approached me and asked me to set it up, which is fine!
Yes the theme was mortal (k)combat. RIGGA thought outside the box and was very creative which is why I gave him the topic category, it wasn't obvious at all.
Have you read a topical battle before? The last topical final was between Wigsplit and RhetoriK. They were given a picture of an elevator. RhetoriK wrote about his son being born deaf. Are you saying that was wrong, his verse should have been scrapped and he should have re-written his verse about standing in an elevate, pushing the buttons, and getting out on the right floor? No Sir.

If somebody admits to a variation of the topic, that's a good thing. This is one of the easiest calls i've had to make in judging topicals. Variations and interpretation is the whole point.
