Rick Ross can rap. I appreciate all kinds of music. I don't knock dudes like Drake for doing what they do..But dudes like Rick Ross & Drake are in a position of power in the sense that they influence the youth and the next generation..If you have a voice that reaches thousands, hundreds of thousands, or even millions of people..shouldn't you use it responsibly? If you can make someone's life better through music that's a beautiful thing. If you can educate, motivate, and inspire through music..it's a beautiful thing.

All I'm saying is that I appreciate that real shit more. This is a BATTLE website so that punchline shit is prominent here. I'ma keep dropping punchlines as long as I battle, as will you. But maybe when your mind matures and you're ready for grown folk music you'll understand.

Because one day, god-willing, you'll have kids of your own. & They're gonna wanna be like whoever's hot at the moment. Whoever's on the radio the most, whoever's tellin em about partyin, the bitches, the money, the cars.. Or whatever it is kids are gonna be into 10, 20 years down the road. & You're gonna think your kids are ridiculous for looking up to them, but you'll hope its just a phase they're going through because you went through a similar phase when you were younger and (hopefully) your mind has matured enough at that point to understand that the music people are puttin out is poison.. That murder murder murder, kill kill kill shit..That "make it rain on these ho's" type of shit.

I just prefer that real rap shit. In the late 80's and early 90's you had people like Black Thought, Poor Righteous Teachers, Rakim, etc etc...Using their voice to reach others & teach others. That's how it was back in the day.. You had to be authentic..not whatever was marketable to the youth. You were being you, you were expressing yourself and sharing your experiences and life struggles with people, you were trying to help.

But it seems like there's very few artists today that had those core teachings instilled in them & stayed true to them.
