Again, rap coming from poetry, yet involving literally none of the aspects. How are they similar? Rap claims to be poetry, it isn't. There are very few similar aspects. Just because both are things put on paper, rappers tried to claim to be involved. A graffiti artist can be influenced by painters, when was a rapper ever influenced by a poet? I've hear Shakespear, and I find that laughable, because thats like asking someone who pretends to be a rap fan saying "Uhm, yeah, my fav rappers is ehhh, 50 cent".

Poetry is an actual art form.
Rap is a genre of music.

The only thing about rap I could say could be art is some of the music making, but again where are the people doing it? Art is about telling a story through various techniques, and rap just tells a story. It can be put in with being a mediocre author, but not being an artist.
