I don't think its anything to do with the program you use (even tho i use CEP)...The mic could be your problem tho...You don't need to get an expensive mic to have solid tracks, but get a decent one...Work it out regarding the money you have/income so you'll know your range...

One other thing, when your recording, are you recording on stereo or mono?...I made that mistake first time using it...
