dude my verse was a free and it still flowed nicely i don't believe that just because you freestyle you can get away with spitting a random/crappy verses when i started rapping i pushed my self to be able to be sick at free styling because i hate writing raps i haven't went hard on lets beef in years but when i'm feeling it i can freestyle for 10 minutes or more and everything is nice, when i was getting my first degree i use to freestyle with dudes at my school and these guys were sick at first i felt so out of place, so i trained my self to be able to use my subconscious, don't think so much or to hard just flow i treat rap like a science and haven't mastered it yet but i must say my freestyle can kill an entire team of writers, not saying every time i freestyle its sick no i spit whack stuff i'm not always at my best but thats why i practice and constantly push myself i am constantly expanding my vocabulary and my mind, people think rapping is as simple as rhyming,
but rank is more than a slight factor when it come to a person who no one knows verse the person who is #2 that month and in the top 20 of all times rank is a major factor, i shouldn't battle someone's rank i should be able to battle their verse and if mine is better i should win period i shouldn't have to go extra hard on a weak rapper( not saying he's weak) because of his rank, and i did use it as motivation but after 4 years i have gotten tired of being optimistic when there is fraudulent voting on this site
