I agree w/ you. But whatever the reason, it'll still look like he ducked if he doesn't answer.
I'm no different. There are battles in my inbox & i cant answer them b/cuz they hit on my old username. If I answered them now, I'd be an advantage. Sooooo in reality, I ducked lol.
