I feel like im being duped into commenting on this thread..

1) no on is going to lets beef to listen to that verse.
2) you shouldn't need your wife to navigate your moral compass. you happily went there.
3) there is a difference between talking about a specific person and using a slur. gay, fag and all of that have been words used to convey and mean much more than being a homosexual. vernacular changes overtime. and by condemning the use of words it stifles natural evolution of thought and speech. coz those words likely wouldn't have the same meaning today that they did 40 years ago if left unchecked in the 2000s. so your verse, even if it was hella transphobic, allows for discussion and limits stagnation of ideas.
