DEFINITELY find your own style and master Flow first. Punches will come to you do dont worry. But mastering how your verse is flowed in a text box is an art itself.
To me, flow consists of running the right amount of syllables each line, making your multis fit into those syllables while keeping them relevant to your concept, and making sure voters read your verse exactly how you want them to.
Ideally, if you outflow your opponent, you probably already got him beat so if you can master that and insert sweet creative punchlines, you're legendary b.

Nah, I already decided I don’t like those style of bars personally, which is why I always vote against them. Certain battlers on here popularized them, and now that’s literally the only formula people vote for.
So I’m selling my soul and making those types of bars. It’s the only thing mf’s on here vote for. I’m not referring to myself either when I say I’ve seen people lose battles when they had better rhyming and concepts to people who perfected the “you couldn’t x if y” type bars. Same shit as the “I’ll have x like y” type bars.
