I agree with the 7 day ban, a week off isn't going to kill you, but in the future we could start using the Miserable Users usergroup, which would allow him to battle but not use the chatbox / forums, this way if he wants to talk shit, i.e. activity, he could do it over a battle and not be locked out completely.
Depends on the reason too, this isn't something that serious but biting, self voting, racism, posting personal info, etc. would still be completely banned
