This looks good on paper, but i'm not sure if there's anything stopping people from posting late.
For example, Panorapic posted a few days after the deadline in the battle where he and Shiz both missed the deadline. If left as is he will now advance rather than being DQ'd. I guess what I'm wondering is: is there something the Mods can do to block people from posting once the deadine is up? Perhaps they can just remove verses that were posted after deadlines? Otherwise, if people can just post whenever and nothing can be done, the new efforts to keep deadlines tighter will be useless.

I granted Panorapic an extension for the 20th, which is the day he posted, and in the sign-ups I said a
1-time, up to 2 day extension I know the 20th is 3 days but I made the judgement call seeing as @
Shiznit hadn't even logged in (& still hasn't as of now). I also told Shiznit he could post by the 20th but he has missed the extension deadline so he's DQ'd.
To answer your question we usually post a comment on the battle saying "Battler has been DQ'd, please vote accordingly" and if anyone votes for the other person we just delete it. Other then that there isn't as way for the system to automatically DQ someone and/or block people from voting. There also isn't a way for Moderators to remove verses once they've been posted, only full Admins.

Not sure if that would take extra coding or anything like that though.

Any mod can moderate any tournament (close rounds/advance) and there might be a way to set a deadline but it's not built in so I would bet it would involve extra coding n' stuff.
