That's because they started popping out titles 40 times a year.

Why do a basic battle when theres likely a tournament running every day of the entire year?

i'm not into myself i'd prefer only one gc per year. and then seasonal tourns be reserved for those who were most active in the non tourny battle season. no more one win n you in. to make it where you had to be active to get those, and you get a secondary title for those.
