It all depends on how much she acts up. There is no such thing as "over-doing" it...there is beating and there is murder, the latter is obviously over kill. If you're smart about it you put a orange or pad lock, something to that effect, put it in a sock and swing that bitch around..IF she needs "time to heal" she's not even worthy of getting beat to begin with.
