What Happened To Judging a Battle On How Much It Entertained You? Or How Many Times It Made Your Nod Your Head or Say 'Ohh Shit' Under Your Breath?
Why Is It Nowadays, The Judging Is So 'Technical' And 'To The Point? Used To Be Shit Said Like, 'Winner, Your Opener Had My Picking Up My Jaw!' Or 'Line 3 Almost Made me Jump Outta My Seat'..Etc Etc And Now, After Emotions, Envy, Dodging and Politics Have consumed So Many Members, All You See in the Voting Comments Is 'Syllable Count Wasn't Matching (Who Cares), Most Of those Multi's Were Broken (Umm..And?) Feels Like I'm Taking A School Test Rather Than Dropping Bars that The Reader Can Understand and Enjoy without Much Effort.
1. The Verse Should Be Able to Be Read and Understood without Too Much Explaining.
(unless You Have an Extremely complex Scheme)
2. It Should Make The Reader Feel SOMETHING other Than Just the Fact that they're Voting For a Credit.
3. You Shouldn't Have to Go Back And Read a Line More than Once maybe Twice to Grasp the Concept Delivered.
4. You Should Be ENTERTAINED!!
Other Than That, why Would You Be Breaking Down The Verse to Points Of Such a Specifically Rated Means That You're Lost In the Rules and what 'Society' Believes a Verse Should Look and Count Like..??
Its Just Something That I've Noticed. Most Will Just Make Jokes and Not take this Shit Into Serious Consideration, But Maybe SOMEONE Will.
