In reality I think both shodan & punk have correct points. Unbanning the people who only got banned for unimportant reasons could have positive effects on activity, but unbanning all the shit cunts we removed for a reason could also just muddy that activity further. Just blanket unbanning everyone is not the best idea in my opinion. If anything, this should be done like it is with Rant in this very thread, which is in a case-by-case basis so you can review if it really affects the community in a bad way to have the person back

I didn't miss the comparison and I get the analogy. Its just certain rules in certain environments don't garner the same respect as others. A couple years back, there was a kid banned for biting the theme song to the fresh prince of bel air. Did he really need to be banned? Shit wasn't hurting nobody, the snipers were getting auto wins and people got mad laughs out of it....but technically he bit so the ban went in place. idk..sometimes the rules being taken too literally and too seriously can take the fun out for folks who don't take LetsBeef as seriously as others.
